NAPCO is proud to introduce an area for APCO members who are Amateur Radio Licensees

Special Announcements and information will be posted in this area related to:

  • ARES/RACES activities by various Agencies in the Northern California Region.
  • Amateur Radio Frequencies, and radio repeaters that will be used at APCO Conventions, Syposiums, and Special Events.
  • Other announcements about special projects that our Agencies may be involved n, related to amateur radio, that would be of interest to Chapter Members.

Amateur Radio Repeater Communications:

Local Coverage:
APCO/CPRA has been offered the use of an existing system on the Calif. State microwave center in downtown Sacramento:

Input: 445.350 MHz
Output: 440.350, CTCSS = 179.9 Hz.

Wide-Area Coverage:
Input: 448.500 MHz
Output: 443.450 MHz, CTCSS = 146.2 Hz.

The CPRA portable system may also be on the air on the originally reported channel of 443.325 (out) / 448.325 (in), but I don't guarantee what the coverage will be.
