The Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) is an organization defined by and driven to serve the needs of Public Safety Communications professionals. From protecting frequencies to promoting professional standards and training, the Northern California Chapter of APCO provides value to members, agencies, and their communities.

  • Monthly chapter meetings are held to increase value to members in a variety of ways:
    • Breakout sessions for Frequency Coordination and Dispatch Operational networking and information exchange
    • Share FCC regulatory news, awareness, and impact on local agencies
    • Learn from first-person experiences and lessons learned via keynote speakers
    • Increase knowledge of product and technology awareness via vendor presentations
    • Network with other agencies and the vendor community
    • Provides members with the opportunity to have input to and feedback from APCO International efforts and its interactions with the FCC and U.S. Congress
  • Offers scholarships to members to continue professional development
  • Showcases product demonstrations through the Annual Vendor Showcase
  • Recognizes individuals and teams for outstanding service at Awards Banquet
  • Offers discounted training opportunities including POST and free job postings
