2012 Horizon Award Application
The Horizon Award recognizes communications centers that have shown leadership in technology and are proactively seeking solutions to manage the introduction of technological advancements in their center and community over the current year. Technology has a direct correlation and impact on operational policies, procedures and service. The intent of this award is to acknowledge the efforts of communications centers that have proactively evaluated and met the technological and operational needs of their center, employees and service population.


9-1-1 for Kids Partnership

**Deadline: September 13, 2012**

NAPCO supports the 9-1-1 for kids program and is soliciting awards nominations on their behalf.

Winners will receive the 9-1-1 Heroes Medal of Honor, which is bestowed upon a 9-1-1 youth and dispatch hero. The youth hero is an individual who has distinguished himself/herself by gallantry and intrepidity calling 9-1-1 to help save a life or property, or to report a crime. Equally as important, this award is presented to the 9-1-1 dispatcher/call taker who processed the call and dispatched the appropriate emergency response help.
