NFPA 1221 – Standard for the Installation, Maintenance, and Use of Emergency Services Communications Systems is open for Public Comment

The Second Draft of the 2019 edition of the Standard for the Installation, Maintenance, and Use of Emergency Services Communications Systems is open for public comment from now until May 10th, 2017.

This standard covers the installation, performance, operation, and maintenance of public emergency services communications systems and facilities for all disciplines of public safety communications – law, fire, and EMS. Many communities will legislate the NFPA standards as requirements.

You can see the document at www.nfpa.org (you do have to create a login) and submit comments here. (http://www.nfpa.org/codes-and-standards/all-codes-and-standards/list-of-codes-and-standards?mode=code&code=1221&tab=nextedition)
