From the NAPCO Board of Directors, and your new President, welcome to a new year. As your new President for 2010, I wanted to first off thank all members again for the trust they have in me to fill this role. It seems that 2010 promises to be a year of many changes and continued challenges. As we strive to recover from difficult financial times within our own agencies and our own homes, we know that those times are not yet over. Our agencies are telling us to expect cutbacks for another two, or even three years. Within radio and communications groups, this has a drastic impact as we see training budgets whittled to nothing, and purchasing budgets restricted to near nothing. As we push forward, we will need to take the lessons of our parents and grandparents to heart, and that is to do as much as we can with what little we have. This year, NAPCO hopes to continue to help our members achieve this by providing meaningful and informational meetings, as well as pertinent training sessions without the requirement for big budgets. As we move forward, your Board and I are always open for suggestions and any other form of support our members are willing to offer, so please contact us and let us know how we can best serve you and also, please let us know how we are doing.
Thank you, and here's hoping we have a great new year.
Your President,
Jim Lencioni |
