BayRICS Survey from Barry Fraser

Dear BayRICS Directors, TAC Members and Friends,

The California First Responder Network Authority (CalFRN) is conducting a survey of California agencies to assist with California’s FirstNet consultation process. The survey is designed to collect information about current and future public safety wireless usage as an aid in planning the public safety broadband network in California.

They are seeking your help to ensure that the Bay Area’s needs and opinions are fully and accurately communicated to the State. Some, but not all, of you have received an email with asking you to complete the survey. Your cooperation will help us validate information and better represent the needs of the Bay Area region.

If you have NOT received the survey request, please send your name and email address to CALFRN at CalFRN@caloes.ca.gov or call (916) 657-9695 and request a link to the survey.

If you are aware of other agencies or individuals that should complete the survey, PLEASE send this post to the appropriate parties and ask them to send their name and email address to CalFRN@caloes.ca.gov or call (916) 657-9695 and request a link to the survey.

Please distribute this request widely. We are not concerned about redundant or duplicative responses at this point. Here is a link to the survey questions to assist you in determining the appropriate applicants for Bay Area agencies. However, the survey must be completed online, paper copies are not accepted.

The deadline for responding is August 15, so please complete the survey or request a link today!

Thank you. Your assistance in gathering this information is appreciated.
