Interim Deputy Director 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Office, Public Safety Communications Office
I am very pleased to announce effective June 17, 2013, William (Bill) Anderson as the Interim Deputy Director of the 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Division. As you probably know, this position has been vacant since the departure of Ryan Dulin at the end of March. Bill has provided leadership and managed the Public Safety Engineering Section of the Public Safety Communications Office for over 13 years. He has strong management skills, overseeing over 80 staff who provide public safety communications design and engineering services to over 140 California agencies. He has represented the State’s interests in public safety communications to many Federal, State and local public safety organizations and has over 30 years of experience in public safety communications. Bill holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering from California State University Sacramento and is a member of the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO).
Bill will fill this role until we are able to permanently fill this position.
