President’s Message (February 2014)

NAPCO represents all public safety communications agencies, Public Safety Answer Points (PSAPs), and other technical support personnel in Northern California.

Each year NAPCO presents awards to public safety communications employees who have demonstrated the highest levels of personal and professional conduct and performance in the line of duty.  We are currently seeking nominations to the 2014 Chapter Awards & Recognition Program by Friday, March 14, 2014 which will be held at our Annual Board Meeting and Vendor Tabletop in December. In addition, NAPCO will submit all nominations we receive in the categories recognized by APCO International for consideration before the April 1, 2014 deadline. Any and all nominations received after the March 14, 2014 deadline will still be accepted for NAPCO’s Chapter Awards & Recognition Program in December.

The nomination applications are posted on the website and will also be mailed out as soon as possible. I would like to encourage the PSAPs and the technical support personnel to use this opportunity to recognize exemplary public safety communications employees.

Please join me on March 8th at the Martinelli Center in Livermore for what will be a great Keynote on Cyber Security, ―What to do and not do! The speaker will share their experience and insight on this important topic. With ever shrinking budgets, this should be informative and timely!
